SweetMotrix operates on a 5x5 grid-based matching algorithm that calculates combo chains in real-time. Unlike traditional match-3 games with falling tiles, this system locks your matrix position and evaluates strategic swaps across horizontal, vertical, and diagonal axes simultaneously.
The core engine tracks three tile types with distinct point multipliers: standard tiles award base points, special tiles trigger chain reactions with 2x multipliers, and rare golden tiles activate matrix-wide cascades worth up to 5x your combo score. Each swap consumes one move from your allocated pool, with levels ranging from 15 moves on easy difficulty to 30 moves on expert challenges.
Progressive difficulty scales through 120 handcrafted levels organized into 8 themed worlds. The algorithm introduces obstacles like locked tiles, ice blocks, and time-limited objectives that require pattern recognition and forward planning. Power-ups including tile destroyers, color changers, and move extenders can be earned through gameplay or purchased with in-game coins at a 100-coin baseline per standard power-up.
Swap adjacent tiles across the 5x5 grid to create matches of three or more. The system validates moves instantly, rejecting invalid swaps while highlighting potential combo opportunities through subtle tile pulsing animations when you hover over strategic positions.
Every match triggers the combo counter, which multiplies your score exponentially. Chain 3 consecutive matches for 2x points, 5 matches for 4x, and 7+ matches unlock the maximum 8x multiplier. The counter resets after 3 seconds of inactivity, demanding fast pattern recognition.
Collect and deploy five distinct power-ups: Tile Destroyer removes any single tile, Color Changer transforms a tile to your chosen color, Row Blaster clears entire horizontal lines, Column Crusher eliminates vertical columns, and the Matrix Bomb detonates a 3x3 area for emergency clearance.
Navigate through 8 themed environments spanning 120 levels: Candy Gardens, Crystal Caverns, Neon City, Tropical Paradise, Arctic Tundra, Desert Oasis, Space Station, and the final Matrix Core. Each world introduces unique visual themes and obstacle mechanics that escalate challenge systematically.
